Overview

Vancouver Island University (VIU) is a public institution of higher education serving Vancouver Island as the center for qualitative learning in the city of Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada. The university maintains four campuses - Nanaimo (prime campus), Cowichan, Parksville-Qualicum and Powell River.

Founded in the West Coast of Canada back in 1969, VIU offers more than 120 associate, bachelor, and master degrees along with a variety of professional certificates, diplomas, and personal enrichment programs to in excess of 18,000 full-time and part-time students.
