Overview

Memorial University of Newfoundland, also known as MUN or Memorial University, is one of world’s leading and Canada’s top 10 comprehensive universities instituted in 1925. What started as a small institution about 100 years ago as a memorial to Newfoundlanders sacrificing their lives during First World War has since grown into one of Atlantic Canada’s largest and most prestigious universities!

Memorial University has four campuses, each with its own flavor and charm. The province’s capital city, St. John’s, is home to the St. John’s campus which offers a full range of academic programs in a modern, urban setting. Also located in St. John’s is the Marine Institute, Canada’s leading centre of fisheries and marine training and one of the largest marine educational facilities in the world. Grenfell Campus, located in Corner Brook on the scenic west coast of the island, is a liberal arts and science campus specializing in environmental and fine arts programs.

Grenfell Campus, formerly Sir Wilfred Grenfell College, is a campus of the Memorial University of Newfoundland, located in the city of Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.
